Mending Block

We all get into the same issue of working on a large scale project in our worlds and servers which require a lot of terraforming. As such, our shovels and pickaxes see a lot of use, sometimes digging out entire mountains to make space for our ideas. Of course, these tools should have the Mending enchantment on them, so we don't cycle through potentially dozens of diamond tools during this process, but with this, we run into a problem.

Mending is an enchantment which routes the xp we gain into fixing our tools and armor instead of feeding into our levels. However, there is no way to use our accumulated xp in our levels to fix our tools, so players are often forced to travel back and forth, sometimes hundreds of blocks, to go back to their xp farms and fix their tools.

To solve this issue, I suggest the addition of a new function to an existing block or an addition of a whole new block altogether, which allows players to route their accumulated xp into their tools to fix them, as long as the tools are enchanted with Mending. This way, players can go to their XP farms, accumulate XP for a longer period of time during one visit, then use their levels to fix their tools periodically wherever they are currently, without the need for traveling back to the farm.
