When engaging in exploration and adventure within the game, I've observed a noticeable decline in the overall intrigue. The frequent encounters with major structures have diminished their appeal, as their discovery has become commonplace. However, I find the scarcity of woodland mansions captivating. Recently, stumbling upon one was genuinely thrilling, unlike encountering villages, ocean monuments, or shipwrecks which has become quite boring. This sentiment is further supported when looking at seed maps on Chunkbase.
To increase the sense of excitement and significance associated with villages, I suggest increasing their size, reducing their frequency, and guaranting all professions. But, certain structures, such as ocean monuments, may simply require an increase in rarity to create more excitement. Additionally, the challenge itself in traversing the Nether makes it difficult enough without requiring anny changes.
Structures needing an increase in rarity include:
- Ruined portal
- Ocean monument
- Shipwreck
- Ocean ruins
- Desert pyramids
- Villages
- Pillager Outpost
As for structures requiring modifications, rarity and generation
- Villages
