Minecraft eggs are inconsistent. Some, when placed, are rounded, some are blocky, some are items. It doesn’t quite make sense, does it?
“Chicken Eggs”: Chickens should only lay “Chicken Eggs” when bred, not randomly. These eggs are blocky, like Turtle Eggs, and pile up, similar to Turtle Eggs but one at a time, and attract hostile mobs, like Turtle Eggs. Chickens will try to lay their eggs on nearby eggs which will add one ”Chicken Egg” to the clutch. “Chicken Eggs” will only hatch when placed on hay.
Turtle Eggs: Can be thrown for a tiny chance to hatch, for consistency. Turtle Eggs will only hatch when placed on sand.
Sniffer Eggs: Sniffer Eggs will be placed down in clutches of 1-2 on the ground when Sniffers are bred. Sniffer Eggs attract hostile mobs but can’t be broken. Sniffer Eggs can also be thrown for a very, VERY small chance to hatch. Sniffer Eggs will only hatch when placed on moss.
Ender Dragon Eggs: When placed it should be blocky like a Sniffer Egg. It should be two dimensional in item form, similar in shape to the Sniffer Egg item. Ender Dragon Eggs attract hostile mobs and teleports any mobs that stomp on them. Can be thrown, but will teleport to a random location upon contact. Ender Dragon Eggs will only hatch when they have willingly teleported onto reinforced deepslate. Instantly teleports off of reinforced deepslate like it doesn’t want to hatch. If it cannot teleport to another block it drops as an item. Has one cracked stage. Crack glows purple.
