Armor Trims and Upgrade Template Cost

The idea of Templates is fine, but they are poorly executed. In my quest to get fully trimmed netherite gear (which I have yet to complete) I have spend all my diamonds from the last two-and-a-half-ish years. I don’t like trying to mine for more diamonds because I die and lose them all, and my gear too. I’ve never been a super intense player, and I don’t grind for anything. Please make them cheaper for me! I’m really struggling! They look so cool, but are practically unobtainable for someone who doesn’t have the time (or skill) to spend constantly digging up diamonds.
