Latency is an issue on many servers almost always because mobs are completely server sided. A creeper for example, gives a player 1.5 seconds to react after announcing it will explode. However, because it is a completely server sided event and a player from Europe may be playing on a server hosted in the US and they may experience latency spikes, for example one of 1211ms, suddenly this player has less than 0.4seconds to react to it, making it impossible to avoid death.
I have been playing Minecraft Hardcore on a public server listed on findmclist, and I noticed this issue affected my gameplay severely. There were many times where latency ended up killing me and I would need to wait till a new world was generated as such. Various odd things happen during latency spikes, such as piglins being able to hit you through Nether Portal blocks while staying on the other side and you unable to hit them back or do anything, or a baby zombie hitting you while standing three blocks higher up, despite it being on the floor and not even jumping.
When a mob is close to a player and attacks them, it should sync up with the client to prevent these bugs, rather than to be completely server sided. Creepers should only explode when the player is given a fair enough time to defend.
Please fix these latency issues, because it breaks hardcore gameplay and makes it unfair depending on the player's location.
