Multiple player in a regular world

So other games such as Among us are bonding togheter people who dont even know each other. In minecraft we do have servers, but the ones available for everyone are just special ones. What i want is a possibility to conect to other peoples world. The idea is: When I create a new regular survival world for example, I could put on a switch which makes it public, and then other people can chose if they want creative or survival and then join a random normal world with 5-10 people. Then when people leave, new people join and build and explore togheter. If this happend, then I would be able to play regular and original minecraft without actually having any friends who likes it. Cause right now none of them ever want to play, and ive been trying to search for someone to play with on all social media and on minecraft. It so much more fun to play with others.
