The current system that we use for making multiplayer servers on Java is really outdated. Yeah, there's a tool for making one on Minecraft.net, however you need to manually open the server anytime you want to play. It's not super hard but it's a hassle especially if you want to have more than one multiplayer world. I think a good addition that should definitely be considered is the optimization and simplification of creating multiplayer servers. We shouldn't need to rely on server hosts/manually opening servers anymore, there should be a feature where we can easily create multiplayer worlds with their own Ports, Names, Premade plugins (anti-cheat and other stuff), and everything else for a server through the Multiplayer tab on the menu. Realms are a good idea, but they're locked behind a paywall and isn't available to everyone, especially when the majority of the player base is children.
Here's a rough concept: Say you go to create a world, and there's a setting at the bottom labeled "Multiplayer". Clicking this would turn your world into a multiplayer server, which can't be undone but will be duplicated as a single-player world, where you could then tweak it to your own liking. These worlds could be kept on a very safe server wherever in the world they decide to place it. Some settings for the world could be the ability to have it running infinitely, or have a set schedule for when it runs. (Ex- 3:30PM-9:30PM)
Please consider this as it'd be a wonderful addition to the game.
