Updated Template Screen Experience in Bedrock Preview!

Join us on this new Bedrock Preview where you will find a new way of creating a world from a template in the All Worlds tab. You’ll be able to download dozens of templates from Featured Creators, or, even better, from your Marketplace Pass Subscription, and you will also be able to import some others.

You will see the new left sidebar with three tabs. The first tab takes you to the exclusive Marketplace Pass templates, only available for subscribers.

Just select your favorite template and create your own world with exclusive thematic assets!

Navigating throughout the second tab you will be taken to our Featured Creators templates. These worlds have been generated by our selected group of featured creators. Don’t miss the spot!

Finally, the third tab will show a summary of your owned templates, and from there you’ll be able to sort them and also rate them for the community!

Some features are not supported yet, but we wanted to give you an early look at what we’re building. It's available in Preview now for Android, Xbox and Windows.

    needs to be a import section for Minecraft Preview, to be able to copy worlds from the base game.

    I like it except for how it takes you to "Create From Template" instead of "Owned By Me" when you hit Create new world. It simultaneously adds an unnecessary extra step and tries to shove microtransactions in my face, 2 things I dislike. Make the process easier, not annoying.

    I have 4 reasons for why this UI needs to be reworked and or made optional / removed entirely from Minecraft and to have the old UI back.

    1. The UI is confusing and has unnecessary upselling.
    The UI is confusing because when I want to create a new world, I want to create a new world, I don't want to load a template or see what's on marketplace pass. Matter of fact, I think that the user shouldn't even be forced to see what's on marketplace pass if they don't own it.

    2. The UI does not support low resolutions well.
    On low resolutions, elements such as buttons stretch to fill more than 20% of the screen in some cases. This is unnecessary and looks ugly.

    3. The UI runs poorly on a flagship phone (ROG Phone 6)
    It takes more than 5 seconds in usual cases to open "create a new world" with my phone. It should not take this long.

    4. It breaks UI mods and features.
    UI mods no longer work with this new UI update. An example of a mod that has been broken from this update is a mod called "MCPE Export Button" which allows you to export worlds directly from Minecraft instead of digging for that file inside of Minecraft's Android/Data folder. Which as of recent is becoming inaccessible for security and privacy concerns from Google. Thus resulting in worlds to no longer be able to be exported from mobile devices.

    My solutions to these problems are to either rework the UI entirely to solve these problems that users are facing or to abolish the UI entirely or make it optional.
