Let's talk about the new Minecraft Launcher Home Page!

In the official Minecraft Launcher, we have just released a new feature under the “experimental” banner: The New Home Page.  

This new Home Page aims to be your basecamp into the Minecraft experience on PC. Here, you can do all the most basic Launcher functionality, from launching games, to accessing Quick Play, to finding out News about what’s going on in the world Minecraft.

If you want to give it a try, go into the Launcher’s “General” Settings tab, scroll down to the “Experimental Features” section, and click the “Enable HomePage” option. Once you do, your “News” section will change to the brand new “Home” layout.  

We would love to hear your feedback as we continue fine-tuning the Home Page. We want to know what you think and how this works for you, so please feel free to add your comments and thoughts under this post. Along with your general feedback, we also have some specific questions we’d like you to consider: 

  • What do you find useful about the new Home Page? 
  • Are there any key functionalities you feel are missing? 
  • Does anything feel like it’s in the wrong place? 
  • Was anything you’re used to accessing difficult to find? 
  • Is there anything you see here that you don’t think you need?

    Not one of your best yet but the screen needs to be huge pop out animation is a like I can stir at that for a long time. Love it the colors and the characters but too small don't like the button either.

    It looks good, but I like the current one, it's friendly and little changes could make it better, like the news displaying in center.

    I think it's a good idea, but the home page looks a bit too busy at the moment and I hope they change it a bit

    The primary use for the launcher is to launch the game. 

    Shrinking the play button and moving it up to the top of the page, away from where the eye is drawn, is not conducive to launching the game. It just makes things harder.

    Eine Schaltfläsche, das man sich dierect bei den mod seiten reingehen und sich Anmelden kann z.b. curseforge wäre schön und praktisch!

    I can't create a new installation of the game under the new launcher. I have literally looked all over and can't find this option. It's so frustrating please fix.

    Suggestions - don't touch the launcher, don't make things worse.

    Remove news from there. Remove all this useless garbage that annoys me. I bought Minecraft Java just to be able to play Minecraft Java. I'm not interested in Minecraft Dungeons or Minecraft Legends, I don't need news in my launcher. I use the LAUNCHER to LAUNCH the game, and not to read the news. I tried to read them once, but they were completely uninteresting and useless. So remove them from there. If I need to, I will go to your site and read them. There is no need to FORCE them on me. Like dungeons and legends. The Home button is completely useless.

    Why can't I just ignore it? Because I know that you have invested time, money and resources into this. And for me personally, it got worse. What's the best takeaway from this? Don't touch this anymore please. Leave it as is.
