What if: Minecraft added Copper Armour _ep1

I've seen plenty of feedback saying that Mojang should add Copper Armour and I do not think this fit Vanilla Minecraft. If no one proposes the value of what the Copper Armour can do and add to the game then I will. When creating my post I think about how Minecraft will implement this or if it fit Vanilla Minecraft. So, what I think the Copper Armour should do is as time goes on the Armour oxidize as seen in most Copper items/blocks. But as the Armour oxidizes you will get slower leading to the Copper Armour being very different and a unique feature towards it then being the same as every single piece of Armour. So this is what would happen if Minecraft added Copper Armour.
