illager or villager: allays

here I am going to discuss the unfair advantages sides may have in a raid like I'v done here

evokers

Ravengers

golems

today I'm gonna discuss allays and vexes

allays are good creatures who like collecting items

and vexes are evil creatures who like jump scaring you

and they are both the same creature

the only difference is one is good and one is evil

so the same thing as with the villagers and illagers

so if vexes side with the illagers why don't allays side with villagers

I think (yes I know I'v said I think in every single one of these)

that allays should be able to spawn in villages and interact with villagers

also I think allays should have a special energy blast

that only damages vexes except when a vex is killed with the energy blast

the vex turns into an allay

    I dont think all of illager stuff are necessarily tied with being the corrupted version of villager stuff. Same as Allay being related to villager either.I think its just in illager nature that they can also being bad to some other being which i think make them more interesting.

    While i would love to see a ranged protector for the villagers, i dont think adding it to Allays is a good idea because it would felt like a more random mechanic that doesnt even match what the actual mob does, the effect of the energy blast itself is underwhelming as its just work on vexes and the turning vex into allay is not necessary since you can already get more allays by duplicate them with amethyst near a noteblock.It also potentially would break any automations that use allays when they detect a hostile mob as it would choose to chase it rather than collecting stuff

    1. it doesn't chase all mobs, just vexes.

    2. I am a noob who does not know this amethyst near a note block trick could someone pls explain to me how to do it and why it works
