Gold armour should be able to hold extra levels of existing enchantments.

As it stands gold armour serves little purpose in Minecraft. While gold tools may appear similar, suffering from the same greatly reduced durability, their speed gives them a niche yet useful purpose, particularly with the advent of Mending. As such, it would be good to give gold armour a similarly niche feature that still served a purpose. One unique property of gold is that it is the easiest material to enchant, as such, I suggest gold armour should be able to hold enchantments one level higher then other types of armour by combining a previously max level enchanted item with max level enchanted book in an anvil. Ex: Combining Golden Boots enchanted with Feather Falling IV and an enchanted book with Feather Falling IV would give you golden boots with Feather Falling V. This would make golden armour slightly more powerful as a defensive item if fully enchanted, though not nearly enough to compete with Netherite, however, it would serve a purpose as a niche set of armour if you wanted to obtain higher levels of things like feather fall, blast resistance or respiration.
