With the addition of ominous events players can choose to tackle challenges in various structures across the game. I think there is lots of potential with ominous events, but one I would love to see is one for the Woodland Mansion. Ominous events and Illagers are already linked, so having an Ominous event for the original Illager structure could be cool. Additionally this can be a chance to bring in the unused Illusioner mob, which is very interesting concept that unlike the Giant has lots of potential for implementation. With Bad Omen if you enter a Woodland Mansion you will be given the Illusioned Omen, which will bring effects to disorient the player like mirroring their screen or cause hallucinations of various mobs. After the player is given time to reorient themselves the Illusioner will spawn. The Illusioner knows where the player is at all times until the effect wears off and will target the player. When successfully killed the effect will instantly wear off and the player will be granted a temporarily health buff.
The Illusioner upon death can drop an item that can be applied on normal bows via the Fletching table, Illusioned Thread. This allows played to create fake clones like the Illusioner and also fire arrows from all their clones. The bow can be repaired using the Thread but cannot be enchanted. The clones probably will need to function differently from the Illusioner, maybe only one random clone take damage, and clones confuse Mob AI.
