As a player with a disability who uses a controller play MC on a PC, I often need to create scripts that assign various keyboard controls to my controller (using AHK and DS4Windows). I recently found a free-fly camera mod that requires the use of the keyboard, however there is a conflict with how the free-fly camera operates with my desired game controls.
Long story short, I need to be able to toggle a menu option (hold crouch to sneak needs to be flipped) without having to manually navigate to the menu options. What would make this possible would be to toggle the chat, send a command to change the sneak setting, then close the chat. I would then simultaneously have DS4 Windows toggle a separate profile that assigns the free-fly camera controls to the controller.
So my query is, can we change any of the various game options with chat commands? If not, I would like to request this as a feature, as it would be tremendously beneficial for those of us who live with a disability. A simple /options command like, /options controls <Sneak> <toggle> or <hold> would be an example of how that could appear in console.
