easy linkable portals

I remember trying to get two nether portals to link up and i was having heaps of trouble. it took me three hours to finally do. i was think it would be nice if you could put coloured wool on the four sides of the portal then have the portal always link up with portals with have the same coloured wool. or maybe even being able to do it with any block anywhere. like having to dirt and two cobblestone on the corners of one portal then having it link up to another portal with the exact same blocks on the corners. anyway love you game. been playing it since i was seven. would really appreciate if you did this..
