I've been playing Terrafirmacraft and decided that the short day/night cycle is entirely unfun for me, so I tried to use the mod I've used in other builds, B3M. But apparently it doesn't work, or gets reset, or something, because no matter how I change the numbers, the time ticks by just as fast.
So I looked for alternatives, and though I found some I'm about to try out, I found comment after comment after comment about how Minecraft hard-codes the time and effectively doesn't count days either. Meaning that modders practically have to break the game, or do weird things around the hard-coded part, in order to affect the length of the day/night cycle -- and thus it's much harder for mods to work together on this element. TFC being particularly all-encompassing means it's even less capable of working together than most, but apparently it literally cannot work from a day count -- small wonder the year kept ticking by so much faster than I had anticipated!
So would you PLEASE make the passage of time changeable? Or at least make it easier to mod? I would very much like the core options to include how long a day is, and ideally also how long a night is.
This is a matter of accessibility for me, as the shorter vanilla timeframe reduces the generally relaxing feel of the game, ramps up my anxiety, and constantly breaks my concentration just when I think I'm getting somewhere. My ADHD brain finds longer days essential to my Minecraft experience.
