More uses for echo shards

At the moment echo shards are one of the most common things in one of the rarest structures in the game, and are used for literally one crafting recipe for a compass that is largely unused by most players.
to fix this I have made and found a few suggestions for new uses for the echo shards (some of which are common suggestions) :

armor trim color: this would allow echo shards to be used like amethyst shards are for armor trims to create dark blue color that potentially glows slightly.

echo horns: this would be a horn that highlights all entities within a given radius around the user, as well as silverfish stone OR could be an item that creates a loud noise that briefly stuns nearby mobs, still on a cool down like regular horns to prevent it from being too powerful 

a banner pattern: seeing as how the trial chambers are getting banner patterns i think it would be fair to give the ancient city one crafted using the echo shard, potentially resembling three circles from the shrieker, or the mouth of a warden.

firework effects: this would stagger the amount of charges in the firework evenly, so if there were three charges in a firework, the first would active 1/3 of the way, then the next 2/3, and the last at the end. 

map trails: some kind of locator item that tracks the holders' path on a map while it's in inventory so the player can see exactly the path they've taken (admittedly this is the weakest idea)

    Echo Shards would make a lot of sense in conjunction with a Mace, considering that both relate to the concepts of impact and waves.

    I like these ideas. I like the Echo Horn especially because it makes two items that are next to useless much more helpful and sought after. It would be great to be able to see hostile mobs that are inside of caves so that you don’t have to worry about a surprise attack. It would also be great as it can help you find lost mobs. Maybe Echo Shards applied to horns from Screaming Goats allow you to see the detected mobs for longer than more common Goat Horns with Echo Shards applied to it. I hope this makes sense
