Seems like a great and logical use for an otherwise pretty underused item.

Disagree. While it could be interesting, it's impossible to bypass, and I feel as though slow falling arrows (which already counter the mace) are even more interesting, because you can then drink milk to counter that. Also, slow falling arrows require the person defending themselves from the mace to actively do something rather than passively wearing a turtle helmet. I won't deny this concept has a lot of benefits, though.

for a second i thought this was a glitch that was in the game and this post was saying it should be removed and my first thought was "what, thats such a cool feature why remove it". well if that says anything..

you can already web bubble to completely negate it, and if the other person doesn't know how to stun-slam, then u can use shields

minezapp, this doesn't have to be a binary feature. To provide Maces with a way to counter Turtle Helmets we will make the Breach enchantment more useful against them the higher the level. According to the Minecraft wiki:

"Breach reduces the effectiveness of the target's armor by 15% per level".

To balance this feature, we will make Breach 2x more effective against Turtle Helmets specifically, compared to Helmets made of other materials in the game. Mojang could use this gameplay concept as an example:

    • No Breach = Turtle Helmet protects against 80% of damage
    • Breach I (1) = Turtle Helmet is 7.5% less effective.
    • Breach II (2) = Turtle Helmet is 15% less effective.
    • Breach III (3) = Turtle Helmet is 22.5% less effective.
    • Breach IV (4) = Turtle Helmet is 30% less effective.

In my opinion, there should be an enchantment for helmets that protects you from mace attacks, falling dripstone and critical hits wich should also included in turtle helmets as a secondary effect

That's a brilliant idea! If the turtle helmet breaks, it will make so much sense and also keep the mace powerful

I think this should be implemented by making the mace only do it's regular damage and still have it break falls. It doesn't make sense for it to completely block falling attacks while also letting regular attacks through.

That would actualy give the turtle helmet a good reason to use in pvp! It will also make turtle helmet with potion of turtle master op

I think it would be pretty cool to have a counter to the mace, because as of right now people are finding lots of ways to make the mace even deadlier than it should and I think a counter to it would be awesome!

maybe all damage is too overpowered, since you can literally make turtle farms, but maybe 80% damage reduction is good

they could also make the turtle helmet take all the durability damage and make the rest of the armor take none, and the turtle helmet takes 4x as much as usual

I feel like it shouldnt deal to much durability damage or break because those things are pretty hard to find. The durability damage should also depend on the heigh the mace user drops at. Other then that. This idea seems pretty cool.

maybe instead of blocking something as obscure as a mace, it has complete explosion resistance, so that end crystals and stupidly O.P.
