D-pad changes in 1.20.71

The changes made to the D-pad in the 1.20.71 update have made playing the game difficult. I am used to how the hitboxes of the buttons are close to each other, making it possible to slide your finger from one button to another. But due to the recent change, the hitboxes were made smaller. This made sliding your finger from one button to another impossible, as the game thinks you are clicking between the buttons. The update also brought changes to the textures of the buttons. The texture change of the D-pad buttons made it so texture packs that previously changed the look of the buttons, don’t change them anymore. This is also a small concern as there could be marketplace packs that normally change the look of the buttons. But due to the update, they don’t change the textures anymore. If at the very least, it would be appreciated if you added an option to change from the new buttons, to the old ones. As some people might like the old ones better.

    It’s terrible bro i haven't played ever since they added it because it genuinely makes me so angry and frustrated that it isn’t fun to play anymore. Call me dramatic but i’m literally on the verge of tears. I love minecraft and I used to play every single day but I literally can’t anymore because of this change. I’m begging that they’ll change it back or give us a second option. Also, yes I have tried adjusting it so it matches my game play but it still feels wrong and ruins my gameplay, it’s so difficult to run and swim too.

    Every aspect of movement with the new D-pad is impossible, I can't even fly right in creative!!!

    I was one of the best player in nethergames in mobile d pad but this stupid update totally changed my skills. Good to worst. WHYYYYYYYYYYYY

    Due to the major gap between the buttons of the D-pad you literally cannot move properly as when you would try to strafe, the game would stop all moving actions.

    you cant change your d pad positioning im left handed and whenever i land it resets to right handed controlls again and yes i agree the hit boxes are wack

    I actually can’t play the game with the new one because for YEARS I’ve had the muscle memory for the good one. There should be the option for players to use the old one!! It doesn’t even work well because of the gaps! I refuse to have anything to do with my favorite game now because im so upset with how little Mojang is seeming to care about players recently.

    I’m autistic and hate change. I just got the update now and am having a meltdown because of it mojang please at least let me select the old buttons.

    Please change it back or have an option. I cant play without getting completely frustrated. I dont enjoy minecraft anymore because i just cant stand the new d pad pleasr minecraft im begging you i dont want to not play minectaft because of this one thing that had happened. Please please please.

    Please have an option between the old d pad and new one. I can’t play Minecraft anymore without being super frustrated. Minecraft was my go to game and now I just can’t stand playing. I might be a bit dramatic but to me this just makes me now want to play. Please Minecraft consider changing it. I just want to play Minecraft again but I can’t without out full on raging!!

    Totalmente de acuerdo en que regresen los antiguos controles. Han pasado dos meses y sigo sin poder acostumbrarme; ya no disfruto jugar en creativo porque volar es más difícil y frustrante, igual en supervivencia por el hecho de que corro más peligro a morir que antes (imagínate, probablemente ni si quiera vaya a poder jugar hardcore en paz cuando se lance oficialmente a Bedrock), y jugar en servidores con gente que no sufrió el cambio tan drástico por jugar en PC tampoco es divertido. Llevo jugando Minecraft por más de 6 años, y a pesar de tantas fallas nunca había sentido tanta frustración con el juego hasta ahora con la actualización de los controles.

    I think what the worst part is that this update seemed rushed. When you go into “touch” under “settings” and select “change control mode”, it shows the old D-Pad looks. This forced change is so much worse than the old try to convert because at least with the old one you could change back. The general feel and look of these new controls make Minecraft feel like some bad mobile game as well and not something you payed money on. I feel like they could keep this new D-Pad look for the players that actually like it but it should still offer it as “New D-Pad” and the old one as “Old D-Pad” under custom controls. I love this game but I’m not playing until Mojang realizes the mistake they made.

    Yet Other Company Changing things nobody asked for i try to strafe and i just stop moving on top of that when i used the old dpad before u changed to this ugly thing u call a {better dpad} my screen wouldnt go up in the air if pressed a button on the dpad mircosoft i say if u dont wanna lose players/money from minecraft its best if u either change back it to the old dpad or make an option to use the new or old dpad thank u for read :]

    this is why i quit mcpe until i got a non-touchscreen device. as a side note, this is the fault of the new oreUI  mojang is pushing for bedrock. unmoddable. untextureable. and unforgivable. its also the new:

    -world create screen

    -death screen

    -sleep screen (why is open chat now a 25/75 to open?)

    -upcoming inventory that makes it harder to move items.
