D-pad changes in 1.20.71

The changes made to the D-pad in the 1.20.71 update have made playing the game difficult. I am used to how the hitboxes of the buttons are close to each other, making it possible to slide your finger from one button to another. But due to the recent change, the hitboxes were made smaller. This made sliding your finger from one button to another impossible, as the game thinks you are clicking between the buttons. The update also brought changes to the textures of the buttons. The texture change of the D-pad buttons made it so texture packs that previously changed the look of the buttons, don’t change them anymore. This is also a small concern as there could be marketplace packs that normally change the look of the buttons. But due to the update, they don’t change the textures anymore. If at the very least, it would be appreciated if you added an option to change from the new buttons, to the old ones. As some people might like the old ones better.

    Yeah. I tried customizing the controls to fix them but without the middle button while flying my play style is ruined.

    YEAH! I hate the new touch screen and think that the action of changing this is so inconsiderate to the way that us bedrock users play the game. Those who use a d-pad and touchscreen will know that the switch from big buttons together, with no space in the middle, too small buttons is not ok. Also, that movement is much harder when you slide your finger Along the screen and then touch a space in between the buttons, and then it stops ALL your momentum. This makes things like parkour, using an elytra, playing competitive games on an online server, and just movement in general hard. Mojang should either change to the old one, have an option to change back to the old one, or make the buttons closer together. I know that there is a feature in settings that allows you to change your controls but this doesn’t let you place it where the old one used to and COMPLETELY throws me off when trying to move. I think that this will put my FOUR YEAR Minecraft journey to a halt until further action is taken.

    I realy don't like when mojang changes things to worse, like, why even change at all? Sometimes i just feel like the guys who make the alterations don't even play the game, bacause no one who plays the game would change it for something that bad.

    It's actually just sad bro.

    I'm using an iPad and the new touch controls in 1.2.71 have made them unusable, please add an option to revert to the old touch control interface design!

    No pienso volver a jugar hasta que se arregle este problema todo el d-pad se hizo más pequeño aúnque este en 100% grande y aparte se movió más al centro de mi pantalla literalmente tengo que tener los dedos en el centro de la pantalla impidiéndome ver qué es lo que estoy haciendo el movimiento hacia los laterales es horrible y no me permite hacerlo incluso desactivando los botones si se me pasa un poco el dedo

    The touch controls in 1.20.71 have ruined Minecraft - please change the Dpad controls back!!! Or include an option to change back to the previous layout and controls.

    This is the worst controller update ever!!! I can’t go 5 minutes without wanting to throw my device across the room. My friends used to be baffled that I was faster then them on PE wile they were on the computer/ controller now it take 10 minutes to place 1 block because the the stupid controller is placing blocks with every move and won’t let me move in the first place!

    YESYESYES PLEASE CHANGE THE DPAD BACK, THE POSITION OF IT IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE i can't even move or pvp without struggle, either bring the old dpad back as an alt option or get rid of this new one because it's terrible

    The new d-pad is sooo different than the previous one, You can no longer do many common and basic movement combinations

    My son and I both updated our versions and we both hate the new d-pad controls. They are difficult for our thumbs to reach and make game play hard to do. We have played for years and this change is terrible. Please add in an option to revert to old style d-pad controls.

    I can’t play the game anymore because I’m stuck in water can’t fly can’t fight or anything else. Please change it back!

    Mojang yet again adds something completely unnecessary and harmful to older players of minecraft, if they just changed the texture to match the other control I think no one would have had any problems but instead they decide to completely change the controls??? there are already so many other options for newer players to choose from why not just keep the og controls for the many many players that have already been using them for years?

    I tried to customize the controls but I couldn't get it right. This is so annoying because I get completely thrown off and crouch instead of sprint and I get stuck in water.

     IKR ITS SO BAD I HATE I HAVE A LOT OF PROJECTS IM WORKING ON BUT WITHOUT THE OLD INTERFACE I MIGHT HAVE TO QUIT BECAUSE MY PROJECTS WERE BEFORE THE UPDATE AND NOW ITS SO HARD I MEAN I GOT THE HUNGER GAMES AMONG US FNAF SECURITY BREACH AND A CITY ALL AT ONCE AND WITHOUT THE OLD CONTROLS I CANT DO ANY SO I MIGHT HAVE TO QUIT MINECRAFT

    minecraft give me back my controls NOW literally every option is a frustrating nightmare and NO ONE (particularly not those of us on our phones) asked for this. RETURN MY CONTROLS

    These new controls are awful. The new design they tried to push is the up and down buttons when you are flying, they are so bad and so far apart. The controls are also father from the actual border of the screen, making my hands block the rest of the screen. Even if they wanted to change this, there should be an option to change it out and just stick with the old one. Next time, dont change things to something new and make it permanent to all users, give them the chance to chose what they want, instead of using something they are new to and uncomfortable with.

    I think it also would have been nice to know this change was coming, especially for bedrock mobile players who don't have a way to keep up with the bug fixes.

    I feel like the boxes are now smaller and spaced out. It makes everything so much harder than it should be. I like the new textures, fitting the new Minecraft theme, but i don't like the changes to it. I think Mojang keeps trying to re-invent the wheel, fixing something thats not broken.

    Yeah I hate the new update I've been working on this really big 3 year project and the d pad change makes it almost impossible to continue it I'm seriously considering quoting Minecraft until its fixed

    I hate the new d pad. Please give us an option between the new and old d pad. Minecraft has become not enjoyable to play.

    mojang shouldn't have made this changes. this made my world more harder because of this d-pad changes. i hope you bring back the old d-pad, so we can play more and not having difficulties in my minecraft world.
