When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Sorting hopper

This hopper type would be made from copper and sort items by type. From armors to ingots to food to wooden planks. It could connect to up to 5 chests or other hoppers, 1 bottom and 1 on each side. This would be a much smaller solution to what we can use now.

    I see this coming to the game, some big farms now are very tiny because they made a block that has the property of an entire mechanism

    Too OP, (I guess we are getting an auto crafter) and it should be copper blocks, because copper ingots are way too easy to get. Just my opinion though :)

    Even having a hopper that sorts out one item would be great. My sorting system is currently sorting over 1200 items and the amount of frame loss when it’s loaded in on my high end gaming pc is ridiculous. Just being able to sort with a hopper would allow me to get rid of 80% of the redstone mechanics, shrink it down by 40% of the space, and greatly future proof it for more items (over 100 in the 26.3 drop).
