Custom Item Groups

I'd like to have the ability to specify custom item groups for new items in my mods, so they get put together under their own collapsible entry in the creative menu. Similar to how wood, planks, bricks, and so on have their own groups. Right now, you can only place items in existing groups.

  I second this. If implemented, this could at least fix the cluttered mess when adding items that could have easily been grouped together.
