Hello MOJANG. I didn't really like the change that replaced the background from the ground with a new one. Please add in the settings the ability to return the earthy background when entering the menu with worlds and creating a world. Thanks.

    UI updates are good.
It is unnatural that the density of the menu screen and the black background of chests, inventory, etc. do not match.

    request
・I would like to see support for chests, inventory, etc.
・I want an option to change the density of the black background (I want it to be completely transparent, 0%!)
・ Please fix the issue where the text scrolls when the setting item name is too long!

    i use google translate

It seems like a good change to me, it looks with a more modern aesthetic and reminds me a little of the Minecraft Bedrock GUI. But poor performance, at least in the game menus.
I liked it, but it is poorly optimized, if they give me the choice between having that new GUI, but with lag in all the game menus, I would choose better not to have it and improve performance.

I would appreciate it or we would all appreciate it if you optimize it further. Thank you so much

    • My normal FPS: 30 - 32
    • My FPS with the new GUI: 5 - 12

The option to restore the old dirt background is a great idea, but I think it would be better to add a setting for that instead of a texture overlay.

That way it would be easier to disable the panorama background even if you change your resource packs to something else. Of course you can create an extra resource pack for this but that doesn't really solve the issue for me because:

In addition, the texture overlay also affects the in-game background, which seems wrong as the dirt background wasn't there in the old UI either.

Another problem I see with the overlay approach is that the panorama background affects my GPU usage a bit. When I have the game open, I have always left it in the multiplayer or single player menu to avoid the panorama being rendered.
In this snapshot, the panorama is still rendering behind the texture overlay, so there's no way to disable it.

So an actual setting instead of a texture overlay would be just perfect!

It's alright, but I still prefer the dirt background, or at least keep both and have the option to toggle which background you want, whether that be the dirt or the new one.

As I've played Bedrock more, the Bedrock edition is better and it's cool that they are both trying to come together with some of the same looks and features, but I feel like you should keep both the old and new, but have an option to prevent it from moving and the option to choose the old or new UI.

This is a great update! I really like the decision to use the colored background from the main menu instead of the dull earth texture. Especially when combined with the latest bg update (Sakura)

The interface update is pretty cool, but I would like you to add in the settings to change the transparent background to the old one or at least translucent (like in the mod Bedrockify)

The changes are amazing! Appreciate the work that's being done at Mojang.

One suggestion I have though is to add the functionality of the original Blur mod and have the blur gradually fade in and out instead of instantly going from one state to the other. Maybe also have a different setting for a blur in other container and inventory menus as well?

Some positive changes, however, the old button style now looks a bit out of place with the new background. So the buttons could possibly benefit from an aesthetic update too

I do like the changes but, I find it a little distracting. I may help to have the top and bottom darker than the middle in the Accessibility Settings; and other menus.

I was hoping I could use the high contrast pack and the transparent background at the same time, but the high contrast back just puts a black wall up, could there be an option to have both the transparent background and high contrast pack on at the same time?

    1. Some users talked about seasickness caused by the constant twisting of the panorama. I didn't notice such a problem.
2.I think it would really be possible to add the ability to disable new tags, but I do not know how difficult it will be to do so.

    3. It would be nice to add a soft appearance of bluer.

    4. Also, if possible, it would be nice to have a bluer in the game interfaces (inventory, furnaces, storages).

    5. I understand that No. 3 and No. 4 can be added using mods (for example, "Blur for fabric").

English is not my native language, my speech can be strange.

The new UI-blur should have a small fade-in effect.
We should also be able to customize the time via the Accessibility Settings for the blur effect to be fully "blured".

This blured background with the fade-in effect should also be in every UI's background because at the moment things like chests and the crafting table UI's do not have the new blur effect.

Overall the new Blur and UI-look is awesome!
Things like this make the game seem more modern and I really like it.

For those of us who have been playing for a very very long time this is a very weird change, given there's no option to have the dirt background unless you use programmer art which gives you all the old textures. I read several good comments on youtube talking about the importance of having the dirt block, especially for The End screen; i feel like the dirt background just made sense. Dirt is one of the first thing you see and use. When you beat the ender dragon, the end credits are talking about 'how far you have come'. A dirt background felt right as it connected you back to the start, the dirt block.

The old dirt background should be toggleable with a setting and not be forced to use the programmer art pack with all of the old textures. Also, the End's void texture would be a better end-themed fit for the end poem background while not being nauseating and/or hard to read with the blue and green text.

I think the new UI looks good but, It's a little too transparent. With the added motion in the background it makes it more difficult to focus on the buttons. Even in the end game poem is a bit more difficult to read. I also think that the exit menu look better with less blur. The default setting should be at 10%.

The dirt background may have been boring to some people but it didn't distract from what you were trying the do. So if you are to move forward with this new UI there should be a toggle button for the dirt background instead of having it with the in game classic textures.

Really good update! Even tho i would suggest something:

The border-box blur is less laggy, but i would make it so that when you enable Faboulous graphics, the blur would became Gaussian blur.

Also, i would recommend updating the buttons' size and texture, closer to the buttons from Bedrock Edition.

This is true, actually. As much as I love the transition with the end screen, it feels more meaningful to have the cut and see the dirt. I think it could be really cool if you force the shader to make all the particles scatter from the center of the screen, and then have the background colour fade into the dirt (and the current dirt texture, not the old one). You still get the smooth jumping-into-the-portal effect, but then the dirt brings you full circle. I sincerely hope this is considered!

The dirt.png menu background gives Minecraft a familiar look that stands out from the crowd. I understand that the devs want to modernize it, but I think the blurred background makes the pixel text look out of place. And I'm pretty sure that if you want to keep the dirt background, you have to also have all the old textures enabled. I think it would be fine if y'all made the default background dirt.png but added an option in the menu to make it transparent for those who like it that way. Thanks for reading 😎

I completely agree with this. Minecraft has some things that just shouldn't be changed for cosmetic purposes. Same with a lot of things in the game, actually.

I feel like the end credits background works well as dirt.

The following is about Bedrock. I know this is a java snapshot, but with parity, you wouldn't have the end credits differ between editions.
In Bedrock edition, that background means you've taken a portal back to the overworld (dirt is used as the loading background for entering the overworld through a portal, like netherrack for the nether or endstone for the end) It's a nice subtle way to hint to the player that they're returning to the world when the credits are done!

I think the new command changes are lame. Please revert, or make it easier to add NBT data. It complicated the hell out of everything and now I'm frustrated and probably going to re-drop the game for a while.

I greatly dislike this new feature. I liked how plain and nondescript the dirt background was - this new one is way to busy, and the central bit just looks weird instead of being a distinct section like the old one. I also miss the dirt when changing dimensions - it provided a nice distinct transition in a nice muted colour.

Programmer art is certainly not the solution, as it contains other changes that I do not want (like old netherrack). (It also didn't actually work when I tried it, but I acknowledge that's probably a bug.)

Instead, a suggested solution could be to add a toggle to the video settings options - dirt background or new.

I really like this change! However, I've been working on an UI resource pack for Minecraft for some time now and there is a small problem. Enderchest and barrel use the same texture as the normal chests. I would like them to have their own UI texture, like the Shulker Chest. These currently all use the "generic_54" texture, which could then be renamed to "chest" as it is only used by chests, double chests, redstone chests, chests in boats and minecarts. This would allow Resourcepacks devs to create a custom UI texture for Ender Chest and Barrel without them always using the same texture as the normal chests.
I would be really happy if this would become a feature of Minecraft in the near future :)

Honestly I hate all the new changes. I want proper buttons and options to bring back the dirt background and screen darkening when pausing. It's only on the programmer art pack which is a really lazy and bad way to integrate it. Also when loading into and exiting a world, the dirt background will disappear for a little and show the blurred panorama so it doesn't even work right. Add a "old menu background" option that makes it just like it used to be where you don't see the panorama at all unless you're in the main menu screen.

Also, for the first time, there is now lag in the Java menu. It used to be that there would be like a few frames of lag when first booting up the game and then it would be perfectly smooth and lag free. Now that the panorama is visible, there's lag when clicking create new world or loading in or exiting or doing most things. Great parity feature, we now have Bedrock's laggy menus lol

The new changes are fine for those that like it, just have proper options to change back the dirt background and screen darkening. Please I don't want to learn to mod just for this xD It never hurts to just add options

i mean cool, new transperancy but maybe don't put the old background behind the programmer art resource pack and put it in accessability
