Dowsing rods

I think Minecraft should have tunable dowsing rods. They would be crafted from three copper and one diamond in an L formation with the diamond being on the long arm. They’d be used similar to dowsing rods in the real world except you can tune them to a specific block by left clicking on that block with the dowsing rods equipped. It would then glow and point towards the nearest block of that type with in like fifty blocks. It just gives the general vicinity so it won’t tell you if it is above you or below you if you are using it in mining. It would be useful for those that don’t want to strip mine to find things like diamond or ancient debris.
