Recently, the Minecraft Marketplace for Bedrock Edition released a new "game-changing" feature: Add-Ons are now available to purchase from developers that have been approved by Mojang. However, Add-Ons are not even close to a new feature, and you can find official support documents on how to add them into the game. Despite this, in recent months, Microsoft has chosen to do everything in their power to prevent third-party content from being used on consoles even if it's not being used through Xbox, Playstation, or Nintendo's respective online multiplayer networks. This is an abuse of power and disrespectful to developers who would at least like to make their own Add-Ons for use in a singleplayer setting without putting it up for sale so Microsoft can profit from our creations. Not everything should be made a microtransaction. It damages relations with the playerbase and the people making the content that's being sold. I and many others would like to see an official and safe method of putting our own content onto a console, even if it means it could only be used in singleplayer or through LAN multiplayer.
