Leather Armor Hot Take: It should be usable as fuel

I personally think leather armor should be able to be used as fuel in furnaces. Or at least stackable when not enchanted. Here's why: Players like to build experience farms by using zombie spawners, and zombies drop leather armor every so often. The leather armor tends to clog up chests for us, leaving us with only four ways to dispose of the lot.

1. Repairing it to widdle down the amount

2. Combining enchantments to do the same

3. Wearing it and wearing down the durability until it breaks

4. Tossing it into lava to get rid of it

If using it as fuel for furnaces, can we at least have the ability to "uncraft" the armor to get 1 or 2 pieces of leather back? Or even leather scraps?
