Compressed Cobblestone/Deepslate

Have you ever looked at the base of the piston and thought that texture looks really nice. Or have you ever just had cobblestone galore in your storage system in your minecraft survival world and that you've had to either put it in a seperate chest or just delete it by various ways? There should be a compressed cobblestone version that would take 9 cobblestone and it would make the texture as the base of a piston, and if you ever want to put it back to normal cobblestone then you would just put it in a crafting grid like on how you would with a normal copper block, iron block, gold block etc.
