Realms shouldn’t require Gamepass on Xbox

I recently decided to cancel my Xbox Game pass as I only play Minecraft on my console these days. In doing so I realized I can’t access realms without subscribing to the game pass as well. I think this is a scam and it’s unfortunate that the two are tied together. I bought Minecraft on my console (which I feel should’ve transferred from the PC version of the game) and then realized I couldn’t access my realm. I essentially double-paid for Minecraft and waisted my money to not be able to play in the world I wanted to play. After reading some other posts on here I realize it’s the same way on PlayStation. It feel like a major rip off. I already paid the $4 to access realms so why should canceling my game-pass interfere with that.

    Realms should ONLY require Gamepass if you open it to 2+ players that are not on your same split screen, otherwise you should not need Gamepass.

    100% this is a scam. You don't need game pass to play realms from Android.

    This is wrong. I paid for the game. I pay for my realm. Gamepass literally has nothing to do with the game at this point. This is scam on console players and you know it.

    I agree. I already pay 10 bucks a month to have the realm for myself and my friends. I can play on it on my PC without issue. I purchased the game. Why am I paying Xbox for the right to play multiplayer? That's awful.

    I 100% agree to my friend set up a realm for us but i cannot play it because i don't have xbox gamepass even though i bought minecraft with MY own money
