Glove/Gauntlet as a weak but faster alternative to swords and axes.

In current Minecraft's combat, I feel like a gauntlet-type of weapon could really shine. Using the gauntlet would be as fast as attacking with bare hands (or slightly slower, but still faster than a sword) and could possibly even be wielded in both hands, but I'm not sure how the developers feel about the idea of making anything dual-wieldable. If it were to be dual-wieldable, it would probably make sense to lower the attack speed if you're using two at a time (in order to not be overpowered) especially if any enchantments would be able to be applied to it.
If it was added, I think it'd be really cool if there was an enchantment or a special attack (like how attacking while sprinting does more knockback) that would launch someone upwards, etc.
If it were to be divided into different tiers; (similarly to tools, weapons, etc)
Since unarmed attacks normally deal 1 damage, leather/gold could deal 2, chainmail dealing 3, iron dealing 4, diamond dealing 5, netherite dealing 6.
