As others have proposed, larger oceans that take longer to explore and continents that are separated would be great to have. Instead of increasing ocean biome sizes- unless that would be easier than my idea for the devs- what if the ocean formed in a grid around spawn? How this would look on a map is like looking at the 3x3 grid on the crafting table. The lines would be the ocean, about 700 blocks wide for example, with the squares in between being how the world generates now, for a few thousand blocks. To prevent any continuous cliffs, the higher terrain will gradually lower to meet the ocean level. It would also steepen the longer it takes to meet sea level. Why I believe this would work, is that those who like how oceans are small will still have lots of land, but those who want continents with large distances between them, will get super continents.
