Let’s talk about Add-Ons!

With Add-Ons, you can add custom blocks, items, mobs, recipes, and other game content to your worlds. For example, you can download a furniture Add-On that gives you access to 100+ different pieces of furniture, or a dragon Add-On that introduces a roster of 20+ rideable dragons, or a quality-of-life Add-On that places a gravestone where you die, safely storing items until it is broken.

With the launch of Add-Ons we are eager to get your feedback! Alongside your general feedback, we also have some specific questions which we’re hoping to help us as we continue to improve the Add-Ons experience in Bedrock. 

  • How was the process to discover Add-Ons in the Bedrock Marketplace?  
  • How easy was it to get an Add-On from the Marketplace and apply it to a new World?   
  • Did you have challenges activating Add-Ons to your new or existing worlds?  
  • Was it difficult to learn how to use your Add-On?  
  • Did you run into any issues while playing Add-Ons? 
  • What sort of Add-Ons would you like to see in the future?

    I would like if some people would vote for my fnaf ideas please, lot of bedrock players want fnaf but only Java gets it so please help make people's dreams come true, vote now!!

    A few suggestions I've noticed that would help with my games my family plays, especially on new world startups.

    1. Allow the removal/hiding of addons I don't like or use anymore. An example is I installed an addon because it was free, but I didn't like it. Now it is always there despite the fact I will never use it again. Uninstalling it keeps it there. A solution would be allowing me to hide it and adding a button at the end to unhide addons. Same for the Realms. I used the free premium version with the pass, but I didn't use any of the addons and there are only 3 of us, so I changed to the cheaper realms pack, but it keeps a screen asking me to resubscribe to the premium version whenever I open the realms page. 

    2. Allow grouping of packs I always use. Ex. Mystical Agriculture and Clarity I always use, so why not create a pack group for those so every new world I can select to start with my "Always Use" packs with a single click and select the rest on a case by case basis.

    3. Another option for Realms is allowing the premium to have multiple realms open at the same time. Ex. one for me and my son, one for me and my wife. The third for all of us together. All active so that they can choose whichever they want at the time. In theory while I was at work my son could play his game for him and me as my wife plays her and my game without constantly switching realms and only having one accessible.
