Minecraft's biomes have lacked some atmosphere and life for sometime now but this is where an update focused around adding more life and atmosphere to the biomes could make the game feel so much more alive and make a positive change in the community this could come in the form of new atmospheric effects like falling leaves using particles and ambient sounds like we saw with the cherry grove biome, the lush caves, and the new nether biomes from the nether update, along with changes/improvements to already existing features such as better more colorful and star spangled night skies with shooting stars AKA comets and possibly fireflies, improvements to some mob models like pigs having 3d ears instead of their drawn ones, changes to some entity animations that still retain some simplicity but make them feel so much more alive such as eye blinking, tail wagging, ear twitching, walking ,animated mouths and etc, with new mobs possibly in the form of mobs that lost the mob votes, and animated particles which while already do exist in some ways could be used to make more unique atmospheric effects and much more. furthermore an update like this could have so much potential and would give Mojang the opportunity to optimize the game for better performance and add in some features that they promised would eventually be added. if you like the ideas here be sure to upvote the post and maybe suggest some ideas of your own as well to boost the chances of this becoming a reality, thank you.
