Structure in Ancient City

Hello just curious if the Ancient City structure has a way to open into a portal? or if this is something still being created?

An idea would be that perhaps it could open a world with dragon mobs like the end dragon where eggs could be spawned (Then collected) and dragons could be ridden. This seems like it could really add a lot to Minecraft but definitely would love it if Minecraft would post an update if they plan to move forward with the Ancient City structure being a portal because it gets confusing figuring out how to enter with all the false information out there.
