I feel like the end could use its deadly feature.
The overworld is just the overworld. The nether has fire and lava. The end has the void, though it's very easily mitigated.
The end can also have a ton of explosives. Have you ever wondered why endstone is so blast-resistant? Now there can be a proper reason.
This idea takes the base end crystal and allows the player to specialize it.
The EMP Crystal
The EMP Crystal is only useful in PvP situations, though it can probably be fitted to work with mobs. Its main idea is that it does no explosion damage to both terrain and players but puts everything with a cooldown on cooldown including shields. It also disables elytra flight temporarily making it deadly if one were to trigger in the end.
The Anti-Matter Crystal
This crystal treats explosive resistance below a certain threshold as weaker than it normally is for both blocks and players. It has the same power as a regular crystal though. Only Blast Protection 4 can go unaffected by the crystal, hopefully causing some players to use the enchant.
The Effect Crystal
This crystal when combined with a beacon and a non-instant potion causes it to shoot a beam at the player who placed it when close enough and when in sight causing it to give the player the effect and heal them until the crystal is broken, dropping a nether star when doing so.
