Let's face it, everyone wants an end update. Now, everyones opinions on what it should be like vary. If the end update is overdone, it could easily become the nether update 2.0 just with a different dimension causing both to lose their identity. I do think it just needs to be given more substance. The end has no way for long-term exploration/residence, with no biome diversity among its biomes. Now, how do we go about this?
Trees???
Yep, I'm like the millionth person to say it, but the end could use trees. Go all in though, make them really tall and make the trees petrified (mineable with pickaxe instead of axe.)
As far as other vegetation goes, I feel like patches of something resembling grass would be neat, though like the trees, it's mostly just endstone with something growing on it causing it to be mined by pickaxe instead of shovel.
Exploration!
The end needs to have end cities generate more, embrace the elytra. Speaking of, that's probably going to be the definitive way of how one gets around the end now. A way to spawn in the end would be nice once it's been conquered.
Structures!
Now with that out of the way, this will actually be unique stuff. The end needs its own proper deadly feature, several different small structures with end crystals that are set to go off with the slightest misstep would be cool and threaten even end-game players (especially if the explosion exposes the void.)
Hopefully, this breathes not only life but also death into a slept-on area of the game.
