I often use redstone and I think this is a bit of an overreaction lol. The copper bulb is fine how it is now and they're probably not going to change it back. It's perfectly fine being a compacted and accessible T-flip-flop. But I have to ask: Did the Star Wars sequel trilogy "ruin your childhood" too? Is the piston just a glorified block mover to you? Everything is not suddenly bad now, like you claim.

Is this really worth repeatedly opening new threads, begging and practically harrassing devs? It's difficult to see, but the only thing you really achieve is making yourself more frustrated and upset. It's ok if things in the game aren't the way you want them to be, move on.

The biggest problem is that in snapshot 23w45a it's T-flip-flop function is only half of what it can do, and will likely be used less than its 1 gametick delay. If Mojang is going to add a new and completely different block, then making it 'consistent' is exactly the opposite of that one would want to do. These are the ways that it is inconsistent in that version. It is a light source block that is transparent, does not require constant redstone input to stay on, turns off faster than the redstone lamp, and its different states can be used to give different restone outputs. It also is a block that can be used to offset restone by 1 gametick and can allow for redstone to be twice as fast as it would be otherwise. The first useage is specific to memory which is rather niche, while doubling restone's potential speed is useful in almost every redstone contraption. The two usages just aren't equal. One revolutionizes redstone while the other is quite useful for redstone computer builders, and maybe a few others.
