We all know Minecraft isn't that realistic with the creepers and weird gravity and all, but I think we need something more realistic to make Minecraft more of a challenge. We should have temperature and thirst meters just above your hot Bar. the temperature meter turns blue when you are too cold, and red when you are too hot. After a few seconds in the cold/heat you start slowly taking damage. To ward of the cold, you can use a potion, a campfire, wool armor, or even hold a lava bucket in your hand. To cool off in the heat drink a water bottle (another use for it.), stand next to ice or in water, use a potion, or wear rabbit hide armor. This also effects mobs and plants. certain plants won't grow in the cold, and mobs will spawn wearing the respective armor. The thirst meter does of course measure how thirsty you are. If you are thirsty, you are slowed down but can still sprint, and your attacks do less damage. Your thirst bar goes down quicker in hot climates and slower in cold climates. You can put water in a canteen or drink it straight form a river. These changes might make Minecraft too hard for beginner players so they could be an option in settings.
