Dropping non-held hotbar item repeatedly on Nintendo switch

Sometimes Minecraft on switch will make me drop a hotbar item repeatedly without me pressing anything. I move forward to pick it up, it goes back in the same hotbar place then 1 second later I drop it again in front of me without me pressing anything. It's not the selected item. I have a video of this happening and it's happened multiple times.
