I would like the crafter recipe to be slightly more strict in the input. Right now when I try to add it to an auto-sorter I have to rely on the output signal strength, but if it were more strict would no longer have to perse.
To give you an example. I have a auto-sorter with Gold Block < Gold Ingot < Gold Nugget. The nugget to ingot works fine as there is only one crafting recipe but the ignot to block does not unless I read the ouput signal and wait for it to fill to nine.
Instead of running into this issue it would be way easier to be slightly more strict with enabled/disabled slots. E.g. if there is only one slot enabled turn ignots into nuggets, but if nine slots are enabled turn ignots into blocks.
Another option would be to lock the recipe as proposed by someone else here: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/20555237365773-Crafter-Template?input_string=Slight%20alteration%20to%20Crafter
For future reference, Minecraft 23w51b.
