The Sculpture Block will be an 8 x 8 x 8 sectioned block. You can select or de-select bits of this sculpture block to include or exclude those bits in a Sculpting Table. The resulting Clay Sculpture could then either be cloned onto a stack of Clay Blocks, or set in a Chissling Table to give that sculpture a block texture, consuming the sculpted clay and input texture blocks to create a sculpture with a specified texture if that texture has been released as a sculptable texture. I'd recommend just the Concrete Textures to start off with, for simplicity's sake.
The Sculpture Block would require a Block of Clay, placed in the inventory of a Sculpting Table in order to Operate. The Sculpting Table User Interface would be as follows: an 8x8 Interface Grid displaying the currently selected layer in the Upper Left corner, taking up most of the interface.
an up and down arrow to select which layer you're currently operating on, these being to the right of the 8x8 grid
a 3-D view of the sculpture as is, displaying Layer 1 Through the Current Layer. Views could be toggled (switched between) via Left and Right menu arrows beneath the view port. This would be in the Upper or Lower Right of the Interface.
a text input / output bar representing the existing sculpture by a 1 for a present bit and a 0 for an absent bit (though you can make this more compact) in the lower left of the interface. This allows Pasting in of Sculptures created and shared by others online, end of interface description.
