Urgent in that it relates to how the comparator currently functions with the Auto Crafter.
3rd Comparator setting:
Reads how many Slots are occupied by items rather than how densely occupied those slots are by items. Mini Torch on Comparator glows Blue (or any other currently unused color) when set to 3rd setting.
Important in that the comparator currently only serves this purpose with the Crafter. Rather than making an exception for the Crafter, I believe there is more to be gained by introducing this as a new feature of the Comparator, or alternatively a new comparator all together, rather than modifying how the comparator reads the Crafter. For one, I believe the classic fill level read by a comparator is equally useful in regards to the crafter so one could get a signal strength of 16 if all space is taken up by max amount of items and only then send the redstone signal to craft an item, so the recipe will always remain intact.
But also, I believe that reading how many slots are taken up by items is something we could use in item sorters, in that we can fill a shulker with all the random stuff that doesn't get sorted and reliably break it when all slots are taken, rather than only if every slot is full.
