Ability to parry with a sword by blocking for the first .4 seconds, fully blocking damage of an attack and slightly stunning/knockback enemy mob but it uses more durability. Hitting after a parry does more damage, and sword can be spammed for 2 seconds afterwards.
Using the same block input for an axe would instead give sweeping attacks, which could also insta-chop wood but use up more durability.
Shields could also have parry mechanic, sending projectiles back even further and stronger and knocking back enemies harder with damage as they collide with walls or other mob. Cannot parry with another weapon at same time.
Lunging could also be added by crouching and then jumping any direction, moving them 3 blocks far quickly in reaction to any danger(could also just be enchantment)
Daggers could be a weapon with no hit cooldown that, when lunging, cause the player to be briefly invulnerable only to physical hits. Parrying with these don’t increase damage, but do increase hit and walking speed. Cannot block with them for long since holding the button/input would charge the dagger to be thrown, pressing attack input while charging would throw it, letting go of block input would cancel.
