The Offhand Slot On Bedrock Edition & Touchscreen Devices

Java Edition has an offhand slot that should be added to Bedrock Edition. The offhand slot will be very useful, as now we will be able to use items in our offhand & we will have an extra inventory slot. One of the reasons this has not been added to Bedrock Edition is that it might not work on touchscreen devices. As a mobile player myself, I believe I have found the solution to using the offhand slot on MCPE.

There should be a new slot, slightly to the left of the hotbar, like it is on Java Edition. If we click/double click on the slot, it will swap the item in your offhand with the item in your mainhand. There will also be a button to the left of the offhand slot, & when we hold/press it, it toggles whatever you do to your offhand. Example: You have a block in your offhand and one in your mainhand. If you click the button, then whenever you place a block, it will be the block from your offhand. You would be able to click it again to change it back to your mainhand. Things like shields or anything that works in the offhand right now would work the same.
