Aluminum and combining with Gold

So recently I saw this NileRed video about how you could use aluminum with gold to make some kind of "Purple Gold" alloy, and figured that might be a cool idea for Minecraft. The idea I have in mind is something where a new ore is added for Aluminum, a semi-rare ore that can be used for its own stuff (more on that later) and be combined with Gold in an anvil to make Purple Gold.

Purple Gold would have its own set of blocks, tools, and armor, the latter two would have slightly improved qualities of Gold with a substantial increase in durability. Maybe you could get creative with it and turn Purple Gold into a decorative block that could be stonecut as well.

As for the Aluminum stuff, I'm not expecting tools and armor (though it has potential as an armor trim), I thought along the concept of an Aluminum Can that could store liquids, and function as a combo of buckets and bottles. Naturally, the community would want more than just a container hybrid, so maybe you could use aluminum to enhance shields or something.
