Please revert the changes made in snapshot 23w46a (i think that is correct?) In this post, I will debunk reasons why the change could have been made, in the effort that you will listen to a fan who has loved minecraft since 2014. Consistently between blocks: There are many blocks like the copper bulb now, most NOTEably note blocks or redstone lamps, but they are still very different. Note blocks and redstone lamps only activate once, but copper bulbs stay powered. These differences make it rather odd that the bulb has to have a consistent delay with these vastly different blocks. The Java and Bedrock editions of Minecraft are very different, so why does the copper bulb need to be? If you want perfect redstone parity, more needs to be done to fix Bedrock edition's redstone, not breaking Java edition's, that has features that I hardly see people complain about. I want to stress that parity however I just want to cover every basis of the argument. The final argument is that making the copper bulb WORSE is a choice to encourage creativity, such as the refusal to add vertical slabs (which I agree is a good thing to exclude). However, people have already discovered the ways in game to get around the limitation, which don't fit into redstone builds. On the contrary, the popularity of redstone skyrocketed with the initial release, which if implemented into a proper release, would likely boost sales as people think about the potential of the otherwise mediocre block redstone wise.
