Dying leather armor

First of all I think dying armor is a great feature BUT the helmet has a brown stripe down the middle and I think you should either be able to dye that a different color or just not have it there (except for undyed armor) and also the kneecaps are brown, and that's the same deal (dye it or get rid of it), except if I had to choose one thing to fix, it'd be the knees, because if you're wearing a full set of armor, most of the colored part would be covered up, so it would look like you're wearing brown pants when really they're like blue or something. Also I don’t know if this is true but I heard somewhere that you can’t dye leather armor in Java and if it is true, I think more people play Java and more people should be able to do this because it is a great feature.
