Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Remove Netherite Upgrade Templates and Return to the Old System

Bastion remnants are extremely dangerous to raid. They are filled with hoglins and piglin brutes that can kill players in full diamond armor. Diamond equipment is inadequate for raiding these structures, so I propose that Mojang, in the interest of making Minecraft fair and accessible for all players, remove netherite templates in the next version of the game. 

These are the reasons netherite templates should be hastily removed:

  • They put an unfair burden on players to raid bastions, which are already full of valuables.
  • They are extremely rare to the point where netherite is infeasible to possess.
  • There is no longer any incentive to mine for ancient debris, which was fun and exciting to mine.
  • They are not worth it because one can lose all one's equipment just to find a single one.

Please consider my most humble petition.

    Maybe enchant your gear first. There are many ways to raid a bastion.

    There could be an alternative way to craft the netherite upgrade. Then you will never need to go to a bastion.

    I completely agree. Why would anyone need a template for smithing, anyway? You don’t need templates for crafting.

    I agree. For most players getting netherite was already a pretty stretched goal. So for most of us the netherite upgrade makes getting netherite pretty much impossible. It’s not worth it anymore. It should be reverted back to the way it was before.

    I seriously agree. It's such a pain having to find Netherite Upgrade Templates when it's already hard enough to find ancient debris. It's honestly just unfair and unnecessary.

    Uhh yeahh i know im kinda two years late...buut raiding bastions is really easy if you know what your'e doing, and when you do get the netherite upgrade and get home safely and build your netherite gear your's gonna feel like you just got the best gear in the game (which it is). (Tip: when raiding bastions wear an enchanted golden helmet and use lava to kill brute piglins because that way you wont trigger the other piglins, so that they won't attack you.)

    I voted for this but there are mods that make it so you don't need smithing templates, a plugin too
