The Wolf armour should be enchanted using the enchantment table giving it some use again and providing different enchantments. Maybe restrict the Wolf armour to only have a maximum of two enchantments on at one time and /or have its on unique enchantments which could add more for players who like to explore their worlds in order to find them in loot chests widening the game further.

Wolf armor is still extremely weak. It only resists one more diamond sword blow. Come on, we know you can improve this by 120%. Even though the dog is now able If it can take more damage, it's still not worth leaving the house with it, as the dog is still pretty useless, and the armor can resist almost nothing.

    - Armadillos are easily locatable, make them more common please so that they can actually impact our day to day interaction in minecraft when coming across a savannah in the game
    - Brush animation should play and it shouldnt be instantaneous, maybe you need to breed the baby armadillos first and then brush it for it to drop the scute, just going around and brushing this armadillos feels kinda weird. Armadillos should also drop the scutes when killed, why? because to stay consistent with other mobs, education is important but making an enjoyable consistent game is the main priority, they wont go around kill animals irl, theyre scared of frogs. but when killed youll only get 1 scutes, and no more, but if you brush it, like a sheep, the scute can be farm endlessly and maybe it drops more to encourage the brushing interaction.
    - Armadillos and wolf with armadillo armour is still weak. make them be able to withstand like 5 end crystals explosion point blank, exagerrated maybe but needed most likely. and can stay super long in lava.
When hit armadillos should instantly curl up and it takes no damage, when curled up armadillos shouldnt take melee damage and should ricochet arrows and projectiles, as well as takes no fire damage. only prone  to drowning i guess.
Wolf armour should also be able withstand armound 20 or 10 netherite sworrd crit hit, or the equivalent of the 5 end crystal explosion point blank to make them useful as well as take no fire damage

Armadillos made spider eyes and brushes more useful, that's good, but these items need an achievement to give hints to new players. The scutes are easy to farm, which is nice.

Armadillo can be more common in savannahs, as they're hard to find. They can also spawn on badlands. I like how it drops scutes periodically, allowing new players to discover the wolf armor feature easily. On the other end, turtle scutes are almost impossible to get without looking at wikis, and they're too difficult to farm. I like unique gear like turtle helms, there should be more such things in the future, but they're just not discoverable for new players.

The wolf armor looks excellent so far. But there's several things that prevent me from taking wolves on adventures. Having to constantly feed it after combat makes wolves a huge burden to bring, not like the regenerating horses/axolotls. Give life regen to wolf armor! Animal armor should also be enchantable, wolves still die easily to creepers and fire. Diamond horse armor is bad and they're only as good as gold-armor players, but at least horses can get 15 hearts. Don't add durability on animal armor as it'd get annoying.

Add a way to dye and remove wolf armor with shears, allowing personalized customization. Wolves all look the same, and adding different dog breeds like huskies will make this update an instant success. Overall, wolf armor is an excellent addition to vanilla, many content creators would love to use these on let's plays!

I preferred the original design from the video. Add animations like sniffing the ground and looking for food, and also make it super focused and ignore its surroundings when doing that like in real life. Maybe make the eyes subtly pop out from the sides just a little bit like you can see in the video.

Right now it seems a bit boring, like it lacks personality.

It would be perfcet if the termite nest was finally added in this update, and the armadillo interacted with it.

When it rolls up in its shell, maybe make it jump just a little higher to make it noticeable. Make it completely hidden in the shell instead of having their head pop out, or maybe animate it looking around for danger only after a second or two of hiding.

I also agree that it would be a good idea to play the brushing animation when right clicking them with a brush.

    Português:
Gostei bastante do novo tatu e da armadura de lobo, mais acho que seria bom ter mais variantes de cores para a armadura de lobo ou algum tipo de customização pra ela, e achei que o Tatu solta muitos Scutes muito facilmente.

I really liked the new armadillo and the wolf armor, but I think it would be good to have more color variants for the wolf armor or some kind of customization for it, and I thought the Armadillo drops a lot of Scutes very easily

I would like to see Wolf Armor be able to be enchanted to further protect wolves as well as able to be placed on a Smithing Table to make Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Netherite Variants of it that add their own defenses and capabilities. That way, Wolf Armor could be less plain and have some variety to it other than being potentially dyable.

Please change the placement of the armadillos eyes, as the design of the mob vote was what the community originally voted for not what it has changed to, a mob can be lovable even it its eyes are on the side, for example ( Horse's, Mules, Donkeys, Parrots, Goats, Tropical fish, Salmon, Cod, Turtles, Sniffer).

Wolf armor, it couldn't even take a blast from a creeper as shown in your latest clips, this highly disappointing, so possibly making the armor able to have certain enchantments to give it  more protection would be appreciated.

Textures of the armor seems bland, if we could interact with the wolf armor using trims/dye to give the wolfs more fashionable and distinguished persona's would be an adorable feature ( fashion shows what not ).

    that is all.

    1. Armadillo Scutes should be obtained through baby Armadillo growth.

For consistency to players and encouraging more engagement with the mob, it should function similar to Turtle Scutes. There are two ways I see this could be done. A:  When a baby Armadillo grows and first becomes an adult you can use a brush on anywhere from 1-4 times depending on the Armadillo, (Or it could work where you use the brush once and the drop rate is random) There should also be a brush animation for this and perhaps a very quick cooldown. B: When a baby Armadillo grows it drops a scute just like the turtles do.

    2. Armadillo's should be more dynamic when rolled up.

When a Armadillo rolls into a ball while its scared perhaps it should have a chance of slowly or extremely quickly rolling away from the area, if nothing else this could just be a rare occurrence as a easter egg (since real life armadillos don't roll away). Aside from this, when a Armadillo rolls up there should be a very quick and brief in-between animation as it starts to curl up. One minor thing that also could be considered is making them un-moveable when rolled up and perhaps even solid like a block.

    3. Wolf Armor expression and buffing.

Wolf Armor should be dye-able. Also, trial chambers could have Wolf Armor upgrade-templates/enchantments for fire and lava if you want to encourage people to take their wolves to mining. As currently I feel most would keep there wolves home for this and more, it is strong but needs more options.

A lot of issues with wolves bad survivability such as: creepers, lava, fall damage, long fights/high amounts of enemies, bad AI (like jumping in front of a player attacking), sword sweeping attacks, etc....

And I feel like the wolf armor barely helps at all.

-The wolf armor is way too weak, especially against big damage sources like creepers, adding some "armor toughness" should greatly help and maybe even increasing the "regular armor" too would be welcome.

-Making it enchantable would be a great addition, enchantments such as protection, fire protection, blast protection, feather falling, thorns would help fixing the wolves main survivability issues.

-Making it dyable is 100% smth that needs to happen, it isn't really that ugly but being able to dye it would be amazing

    Armadillos are such interesting creatures:
They have poor eyesight (so features relying on hearing and smell make sense). Though their eyes are on the side.
The defensive curling (seems obvious to include).
They can walk on the bottom of lakebeds (think this feature would be so cool)
Some jump up to 4ft high when startled (enough to trigger a pressure plate or tripwire is enough for me)
In my mind I expected something closer to the giant armadillo so it would be a full block when curled, but I understand choosing the nine-banded armadillo as inspiration (even though they have links to the bacteria associated with leprosy).
For people wanting drops when killed: armadillo meat tastes like rotten pork when boiled and rotten beef when roasted. (They are scavengers). If you kill an armadillo in real life that means you broke through the scute, so it would be useless for armor anyway.
Using the brushes like the gentle approach sometimes needed for pink fairy armadillo pets is nice, though maybe only after being in water (to mimic the humidity required). Shedding when startled would have also been appropriate for some species.

Dog armor is hard. Going historically you have plate/chain mail that made dogs slow but able to grab onto horse rider's legs and pull them off, hunting armor that was leather and lightweight/maneuverable, or metal covered in spikes to rip into other animals and people. I understand your choice.
Wish wolves could locate where you last died and lead you back.

Hmmm bringing wolves slow down gameplay and makes adventures much more difficult... players have to babysit and waste stacks of food for them to stay alive. The armor needs to solve this problem, make wolves easy to bring like allays who ignore friendly fire and recovers health.

The new wolf armor is great! I'm glad that we finally have such, even if it doesn't address the real problem with adventuring with your pets. I'd like to see more options for such in the future, like lesser and greater versions made from rabbit hide and turtle scute respectively, enchantable armors, dyeing and trimming, etc. As for the problem this was attempting to fix; pet survivability, tbh, i feel that armor only delays the inevitable. I've made a post directly adressing this issue, but simply put players are not going to adventure with their pets without some way of either preventing them from dying (which would render them severely overpowered), or giving them the ability to respawn when they do die (with limitations, this could work well).

    • The eyes of the armadillo should be on the side of their head as shown in the Mob Vote trailer.

    • Armadillos should have a sniffing animation as shown in the Mob Vote trailer.

    • The color of the armadillo should not be purple as it currently is. It should be a dull brown color as shown in the Mob Vote trailer.

    • Armadillos should roll fully into a ball with no head or limbs sticking out. Again, as shown in the Mob Vote trailer.

    • Armadillos should be immune to all attacks when curled up and suffer zero knock-back since their armor is literally bulletproof in real life. They should also stay curled up when hit, not run away.

    • This would be the PERFECT time to add termites from the 2018 Biome Vote since armadillos eat termites in real life. Updating the Savanna biome with the giant trees and ostriches would be great too.

    • Wolf armor should be stronger and be dye-able so players can customize the color.

Mojang has been it hot water recently with a lot of controversy and an angry fanbase. Adding the features I listed above would alleviate the hostility and show you are listening to the community. Please add these features. Thank you.

    Wolf armour…

    • should be dyable
    • should be trimmable
    • should be enchantable
    • should have a different recipe, probably involving wool and leather

Feels odd that the Armadillos drop scutes so easily. I don't understand why it would be worth setting up a scure farm based on using dispensers nor breed them iif you can get all the scutes you'll ever need in a few seconds.

I like the looks of Armadillo, a really unique looking animal which finally has come to the game, along with the Wolf Armor which we had wait for a really while, now our wolves are more protected than ever!

But i do have some few feedbacks, firstly i do think Armadillo should be bigger, most small creatures in real life were bigger in Minecraft and this trend has been running until now with the Armadillo, it's small size looks odd for a mob even though it follows the real life counterpart, they have to be slightly bigger to fit within the world of minecraft. Secondly, i think the mechanic of obtaining scutes via brush is pretty inconvenient, there has to be at least a way to make an effort to obtain that one item like how you have to raise and grow a baby turtle in order to obtain a scute, so by implementing an idea similar to this or another makes all the effort worth it, and last but not least Wolf Armor should be enchantable, there should be few enchants that can be applied in Wolf armor, such as Unbreaking, Frostwalker, Every Protection Enchants and any enchants that will protect our doggos, by this implementation this gives our wolves even more protection and a reason to have them venture out without being harmed by the hostile.

One problem that hasn't been mentioned in this thread: wolves die often from accidental sweeping edge swords and arrows from player's enchanted bows. It's not worth bringing wolves unless the armor reduce friendly damage, at minimum it needs to be as good as players with diamond armor. They also need to be able to heal by themselves. I think java villagers have similar problems and they need to be like bedrock villagers where they heal after sleeping. Try adding taming advancements also, some people don't know the items or methods to get wolves and cats.

Armadillo should also roll up when it detects a threat such as:

    ・thunder

    ・player flying with elytra

・explosions such as TNT and fireworks

    ・be attacked

    ・ringing bell

    ・illager

    ・a flying projectile

    ・creeper

    ・warden

I really like the armadillo, but I think that they should be a bit less purple and also have eyes on the side of their head.
Also, I think when they roll up they shouldn't have their head and paws sticking out. They should only stick out their head as an animation to check if it is safe before going back to normal.

rework the entire concept. its terrible, there is no difference to have a wolf with or without the armor, the armadillo itself has no charm, the only reason people wanted it was for wolf armor and its absolute trash

Just a thought - could the player be able kick the armandillo about when it is furled up in its shell? It would be funny if the armandillo acted like a rubber ball, bouncing down the stairs unharmed and ricocheting off walls.

Why, this could open up the possibility of Minecraft football tournaments!

Notch, what about the Arid update. For example the savannah and desert in 2018. It had ostriches, baobab trees, termites, termite mounds, palm trees and meerkats. And the Badlands in 2019 with the vultures, Tumble weeds and flowered cacti. And remember in 2017 the mob known as the illusioner was added but only as a secret command in Java edition. Why won't we add it to Minecraft all editions and they can appear as spawn eggs, and be part of raids and mansions. And MAYBE coconuts.

Notch doesn't have anything to do with Minecraft anymore, he can't make any decisions about it.
