Advanced Redstone Machinery Bench (ARMB) (Not modern stuff)

Minecraft redstone is one of those things that you either really love or really hate, and very rarely do you find someone in between. This is a complex issue, but that's a whole other problem so moving on. The idea behind this post is that from combat to base building, redstone has the potential to make a big difference if used correctly, and I think that those who aren't as redstone savvy should have the ability to experience some redstones wonders without the need for figuring it out. Thus, I believe adding an ARMB to the game would achieve this goal and more.

What it would add: This new block would allow for the creation of somewhat advanced machinery that hopefully will not overshadow advanced redstone but also allow regular players to not lose out. In this new bench you would be able to create machinery that could be used in various aspects of the game. For example, one thing that's really annoying about mining deep down is that to get stuff from your base you need to go up and down manually, but using the bench you could create a simple pulley lift that could bring a chest up and down for easy transportation of items. Combat wise, you could also make a simple artillery known as a scorpio which shoots powerful arrows. These scorpio's would be great for base defense and give players who lack combat skills something to work with.

Of course this isn't everything, but now you have an idea of this blocks potential and goal.
