So, I understand the desire to have the Trident in the game, and I'm not here to argue that the Trident Drowned is an unfair or unfit way to get it. My problem is, especially with the standard depth of rivers having increased so drastically since the introduction of the Drowned, there's a pretty good likelihood of getting Drowned in your river biomes, and if they happen to spawn in with a trident, it's a terrible day all in all. Oh, and also? On Bedrock mob spawn rates are different enough that Drowned spawn in even more frequently. The fact that a player can't build their home on a scenic riverbed without getting pelted by tridents is just ludicrous.
The Trident was designed to be comparable to an unenchanted Diamond Sword in damage, and with it being a ranged weapon on top of that, a mob that can infinitely shoot them is a nightmare no matter how you look at it. Add on the fact that they can't be shot with arrows due to their home being the water, and the only reliable weapon to face them down with is the Trident itself, which isn't cool for obvious reasons. If to kill Trident Drowned you need to kill Trident Drowned, that doesn't work.
My nerfs I'd propose would be:
1. Lock their spawning to specific Ocean biomes. They were designed to be Ocean themed anyway.
2. Decrease their fire speed. I get not making them pick back up the tridents from a coding standpoint, but as it stands they're just impossible to deal with.
